And yet, the fact that Donald Trump won the 2016 election is due in very large part to the Donald Trump character that Burnett created in The Apprentice and he has also gone to great lengths to protect anything from the show that could have damaged Trump.

Their leadership are a "Basket of Deplorables", same as a totality of their supporters at this point. Mrs Clinton only suggested Some of them were such, and they got all fake outraged. They did the same with Al Gore taking a snippet of a longer discussion where he rightly claimed credit for creating the phrase Information Highway, and mentioned he had been instrumental in getting the itnernet opened up to the public in the Senate in the 1980s. The regressive media went with the inaccurate soundbite that he claimed to have invented the internet, which he never said.
