(2,107 posts)I haven't been to a protest in years, and had back surgery just a few months ago so standing for too long gets uncomfortable. But I've got a 'chair cane' and am going come hell or high water!! Just to a local one in SoCal, but I want to be out there. My friend and I worked on a poster to take and we're READY!! Bring out the people!!

(7,517 posts)My spine is shot to hell and I knew it would get worse, and there would be lots of protests. Found a good one on 60% off. The seat is good, little cargo space under.
Rigged up some straps to hold my flag pole and added a bike horn for fun. We have several people with walkers when we have protests here in the Borderlands. Lots of us old still full of passion for our nation.
Hope you have fun at your local protest. Hope lots of people show up, determined to share joy and hope.

(701 posts)If physically confronted, just sit on the ground, with your hands folded in your lap.........
if you carry plastic bottles of water, poke holes in the lid, (in advance), to use on your eyes to help with the tear gas..........
Do Not Rub Your Eyes, just rinse your eyes and face continuously with water......

(12,166 posts)I fell and injured my right leg 2 weeks ago. I finally can walk normally but I can't stand for very long.
I wish all you brave souls the safest protest yet. Know you are standing up for freedom, decency and the American way. I stand with you in spirit.
