About the fear-mongering racist statements against Zohran Mamdani (NYC mayor's race):

Got some news. OUR mayor in my little town practices Islam and we're doing just fine.

He's been mayor for maybe 8 years. The only time I can remember some assh*le making an issue of it was at a Board of Education meeting where she yelled, "This isn't Sharia Law!" The hypocrisy of a woman who immigrated to this country accusing another immigrant can't be explained.

Nobody accuses our mayor of supporting HAMAS and/or being antisemitic. He's proud of his Turkish heritage.

Our mayor has united our town, which is really something as the majority of residents are immigrants from all over the world.

And yes, he's a Democrat.

New York City has nothing to worry about.

A country that expelled its South Asian community. He’s probably aware that his birthplace was ruled for years by Idi Amin, a brutal, murderous tyrant who brutalized Uganda for years. Amin was a Muslim as well as being a tyrant. I suspect that whatever the level of his faith, I doubt Mamdani believes that all Muslim politicians are ipso -facto white-hatted Good Guys.
