(14,565 posts)So - is this just another shoot from the hip blabber-mouth - that really doesn't know dick about - well much of anything? And is in no way qualified or up to the job .. ? (despite the fact that he looks good in his crew necked knits .. ?)
( any fool that is going around spouting off things like, " ... became a communist .." "Yeah .. sure you did, bub!" is somewhat suspect in terms of actually meaning - or thinking much ... ? not quite ready for prime time ? )
Or - by contrast - is this another good example of where Dems need to get the hell off the 'purity test' regimen? And accept the fact that maybe not being totally 'correct' (or contrite) on all issues and fronts - is a necessary to earn a vote? (particularly when stacked up, and contrasted against, the opposition?)
Oh, and in closing - please spare me another Fetterman ... ? And thanks!

The past week has dealt Platner, 41, the biggest test yet in his nascent campaign, and it coincided with Gov. Janet Mills joining the Democratic primary Tuesday for the chance to take on U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, in 2026. McDonalds exit showed discord among the campaign that includes many progressive strategists from out of state.
CNN first reported Thursday on since-deleted posts Platner made a few years ago on Reddit that included Platner calling rural, white Americans racist and stupid and describing all police as bastards. Other old posts suggested violence is necessary to achieve social change, according to Politicos reporting.
