He is destroying our country

Last edited Tue Oct 14, 2025, 09:26 PM - Edit history (1)

Why can't he be stopped legally? He went out of his way to ignore rules and laws to get his way. So far, he has succeeded. He just ignore the rules and laws and does whatever he wants. When they say fight fire with fire, perhaps it's time for the citizens of this great country to start ignoring rules and laws too. Someway, somehow, we have to get law and order back from this gross negligence.

Just today, I talked to a few democratic friends of mine. They were actually crying, saying "He's destroying our country". That is a true fact!!! Trump has turned his extreme narcissism and ignorance into a daily habit for him. It makes him happy to destroy others. And he somehow gets by with it. Since when is the office of the president allowed to grift on the American people while in office? Imagine Obama selling fake watches and guitars? NOT!!!! And when is it acceptable to allow a president to be a felon, rapist, con man? The list goes on and on.

Someone in power had better put this shit to an end legally. Yesterday would be fine.

One thing for sure, he has corrupted the DOJ, FBI, Supreme Court, and many others in power. Just look at all the fools that kiss his ring. His minions have more respect for one person(huge mistake), than the entire population and the constitution this country stands for. That in itself, is insane. Yet, we still allow it. Why? What aren't the people in power stopping this corruption?

I'm, not smart enough to figure out a fix for this, but if something isn't done soon, democracy will not come back for decades, if it comes back at all.

I suggest we document all the things Trump has done to create the corruption in our country. When we get in power again, write amendments to make sure this never happens again. A president should never have the power to do what he has done. We can start with no felons and rapists allowed here! You would be immediately disqualified.

I don't know the answer and am looking for some type of resolution to make this all go away.

I want my country back. My 1 vote in a red state is not going to do the trick.

...presents a tough problem for we the people. Particularly as the conspirators do everything in their power to destroy every institution by which our will is measured and executed.

It is ultimately up to us to make our will known. We must stop being afraid of demanding the remedy the Constitution gave us, regardless of outcome. We must work to make impeachment a reality -- seriously work at it. Doing so is a moral imperative, win or lose. Call on candidates for the U.S. Senate and House to declare their intent to impeach, listing the usurpations and abuses. And if they will not, we need to find candidates who will, whether they be Dems or Republican primary challengers.

And frankly, Vance is a co-conspirator in all and needs to be included in draft articles.

It is long past time for a national civics lesson on demanding the people we elect to represent us actually represent our will and our interests.

A national civics lesson is exactly what this country needs, although it may have to be dumbed down to the point of "Schoolhouse Rocks" for the people who need it to understand. Frankly, I would like to see a whole civics/government curriculum developed using the old Schoolhouse Rock vignettes and have them played at a certain time on all channels... free and pay... so that no one has the excuse of "missing them." The rest of us will no doubt learn a few things we didn't know along the way, and it would be more entertaining that what we have on TV at any given moment. Or, hell... just put them on as Ads... they'd be at least as entertaining as the golden retriever/car commercials! And they could play over and over and over again... just like the ads for all the ED products!

I had three on my desk all night with me... one, in particular, my little rascal Bandit, watched the Reels with me. He especially loved the cats jumping and the dogs yipping. I remain convinced that Miller is the true cruelty architect of this administration. There are so many to choose from, but he's the one true Nazi in the group, and he has trump's ear at all times as his most trusted senior advisor. Crimes against Humanity is the worst category of criminal I can think of in a global sense, and both Miller and Trump... not to mention Noem and Bondi... fit that category as well as Hitler, Pinochet, and Marcos, IMO.

When we finally get our country back, every member of the regime who abused their office and betrayed and inflicted unimaginable harm on the people who call this nation home must face justice.

There must be prosecutions. We must not allow our electeds to pull another "let's just move on and make sure it doesn't happen again" bullshit, as when Obama refused to prosecute those who committed war crimes in our name.

And not like the refusal to prosecute Bush 1 for his complicity in Iran contra.

And so many other times leaders have refused to bring perpetrators to account and just "make sure it doesn't happen again." (The collapse of the world economy due to mortgage fraud comes to mind.)

Without accountability -- complete accountability -- the crimes against us just keep happening. And just keep getting worse.

From the time of Ford, I don't think any one decision by the Democrats has made me any madder or more frustrated. We may be the party of good intentions, but good intentions pale when confronted by true, absolute evil. And until the Democratic PTB realize we're not in a "normal" world, we're always going to be playing pick up the sticks and clean up their messes. Frankly, I've seen enough of it in my 70 years... and I'm damned tired of it. It may call for being more creative than we've been, but there MUST be a way to stay true to our ideals and still fight fire with fire.

Prosecutions... jail... treason convictions mean capital punishment, just as they did in the 1950's and before. We have history, we have precedent on our side. There is simply no excuse except lack of will. Love is the Law; Love under Will.

The Koch Network took 30 years to devise this nazi type takeover of our democracy. Getting rid of accountability is step one. We're at step four. Ownership of the media and control of all the common information platforms is going to be the key to their success. People in the streets will be what stops them. For now. See you Saturday with the patriots who haven't been brainwashed. It's showtime.

right now... not just turning over! He spent his entire adult life fighting "old man" Koch and the family... even to the detriment of his business. He didn't care. Fighting their evil was more important than a lost customer here and there, in his mind. I hope he sees his great-granddaughter fighting just as hard as he did, and is proud of me. I only wish he were here fighting beside me, hand in hand, right now. I only knew him for the first 4 years of my life, much too short a time to know the man for whom I was the apple of his eye... the man who gave me my Indigenous heritage and love of the Earth.

that republicans are never on THEIR side. The one common cause, and the leader both sides have in common, is Bernie Sanders and his "road show." I hate calling it that, but he's getting the word out and his rallies are always full and overflowing. They bring together both the Right and the Left in common cause... against the corporate overlords. WHY is no one younger picking up on his energy and his causes and running with them for the current time? I know AOC has been instrumental in his rallies. But I don't know of anyone else. And I adore AOC... who she is, where she comes from, how she puts herself out there. But I'm also cynical about Americans; they will never accept a woman as a true leader of anything important to them. I hate it; I detest the misogyny. I really wanted to see a strong female president before I die. But stupid Americans being who they are, I will accept a man who can keep his pants zipped and who has the fire and fervor of righteousness like Bernie. Or have ALL the younger ones been too steeped in the "New Way", "Third Wave" "Centrist" democratic philosophy... to the point they forgot the fire and quiet anger of FDR? Or the fire and brimstone of LBJ?

One reason is that our corrupt, illegitimate SCOTUS is made up of 2/3 Enablers of trump. And they are the end of the line as far as legality goes. Another reason is that in order to get rid of him through the congress, we need a majority in the House to impeach and 67 votes in the Senate to convict and remove and so far the republiSCUM are standing with him and supporting him.The greedy-@$$ billionaires are using their billions to bribe members of the congress and the SCOTUS to implement their wishes and feed their greed with votes and rulings respectively. This is what we are up against and why he won't be stopped "legally."

by having No Kings Rallies all over their countries, as well. This is how we turn back the fascists and authoritarian governments worldwide. A full and complete uprising of the people everywhere.

We have stood by people in the past... we've said "We're New York". We've said "We're Haiti"... we've said "We're the Arab Uprising." It'll be nice to see signs saying "We're America" now.

But it would be "Democratic" friends who belong to the "Democratic" party. Republicans intentionally use the noun Democrat as an adjective to be insulting.

Though I agree people should fight back, I think ignoring the rules and laws as they do will only serve to undermine our democracy. There is nothing to fight for if we just become like them.

"Corruption has become the currency of power. Cruelty isn’t just tolerated anymore; it’s celebrated, televised, monetized, weaponized. Lies are mass-produced, traded like stocks, and sold back to the people they were meant to deceive."

"Outrage has become the new religion. Empathy is dismissed as weakness. Truth bends to the will of the powerful while decency slips toward extinction. The Trump administration parades deceit as strength, dresses greed in the language of God, and sells division as patriotism to a nation too exhausted to notice it’s being robbed blind."

"And at the center of it all are men like Trump and Vance and their merry band of feckless enablers, men who treat hate as heritage and ignorance as armor. Men who gorge on power for its own sake, who mistake cruelty for charisma, who see compassion as a threat. They’ve turned moral decay into political theater and fear into an economy. They build their kingdoms out of bitterness, dress it up as courage, and call it freedom."

"But make no mistake: what they worship isn’t just power. It’s poison. And the only way to stop it from spreading is to keep fighting for...a world lit by truth, held together by compassion, and sustained by people who refuse to surrender their humanity."
