Sister Jean has passed away at the age of 106.

She was the Nunn who followed the Loyola Ramblers’ Men Basketball program to every game and was a notable fan who gave a pep talk before every game. She became famous when Loyola made a run in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. She had just retired from her ministry duties a month or so ago.

She was a big Cubs fan and tossed out a pitch at Cubs games a few times, including this year.
Chicago has its share of interesting (and athletic Nuns) Sr Mary Sobieck has thrown the first pitch at White Sox games
