Posts claim Trump said he 'talked to the president of Puerto Rico.' Here's the truth

U.S. President Donald Trump said he "talked to the president of Puerto Rico.”

Rating: Incorrect Attribution

In October 2025, a series of posts claimed U.S. President Donald Trump mistakenly said he "talked to the president of Puerto Rico" while criticizing Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny, who will headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.

One post appeared to make fun of Trump for the alleged gaffe, stating, "BRO THAT'S YOU! YOU'RE THE PRESIDENT of Puerto Rico."

postings, purely because they seem believable and/or say things we'd want to hear. That's how the other side are, and I will almost always endeavor to be as opposite from them as possible.
