I was the third patient to get there this morning, sat down with the couple already there,
and asked them if they were ready for dumpie's Federal troops to prevent crime in our
city, got a big NO with some dumpie bashing.
Every person & couple who came in and sat down was asked basically the same question,
the MAGAt never answered and just gave all of us dirty looks, there were about 6 or 7 of
us who were all appalled by his actions in regards to Chicago & Portland.
Finally the MAGAt looked straight at me "You're suffering from trump derangement syndrome"
"I sure am and I'll tell you why lady, mentioned 5/6 different things."
And then the BIG LIE.......grabbed my phone and acted like I was looking something up,
"List of all U.S. Presidents ranked from worst to best" spoken at a phone that wasn't turned
on. "Sure enough he's still the leader of the pack for worst." "Look it up lady if you're not afraid
to know the truth."
Couple of others looked it up and said he's ranked the 3rd worst President ever.
MAGAt figured she was in a losing battle and never said another word.
Kansas is turning purple, probably not for the long term but for the midterms to tie his hands
a little from doing stupid stuff with us having both the House & Senate.

(21,528 posts)I must have talked to well over a dozen people about dumpie invading cities with
troops. The magat was the only one who didn't want to hear it.
All of us need to talk to our neighbors, friends, relatives, coworkers and yes strangers
about dumpie's use of the military, Epstein files is another good subject to bring up.
Lots of Rs are not happy with him right now, let's keep them unhappy so they vote with
us come the midterms.
Remember questions work better than statements, plus their reaction will tell you if
you can have a intelligent conversation with them or need to turn and get away from
a MAGAt.

To save them from the Dark Side and allow them to see the Light that voting Democratic

(21,528 posts)of Rs that are not happy with him, my travels tell me it's the troops and Epstein they are
troubled about, so go make some good trouble.
One lie I've told hundreds of times "I'm a registered Republican who voted for him, but I'll
never vote for him again." It's ok to lie to R's, dumpie taught me that trick.

TheProle
(3,761 posts)never vote for him again."
Yeah, this is why the board was cluttered for weeks with "authentic" stories about all the Trump voters who FAFO'd and came back from the dark side.
While my hope is that a lot of Trump voters will rethink their support, that whole phase was all very stilted and cringey.
It's ok to lie to R's, dumpie taught me that trick
And when you tell them easily disprovable lies, it will a) make them more suspicious about engaging in political discussion, and b) make it easy to go tell their friends about the misinformed democrat.
KS Toronado
(21,528 posts)When I moved back to my home town 12? years ago I registered as a Democrat, but going
to the VFW several times a week and seeing how much Democrats were hated and
despised locally and questions about how I was registered came quick. I told them I was
a registered R so they wouldn't automatically hate me.
Not wanting to get caught in a lie I run down and changed parties. Plus they'll never know
how I vote. Last R I voted for was Reagan, sorry I was young and not very smart then.
Another thing I've said hundreds of times, probably over 10 times today in fact, "I'm a registered
Republican who questions all politicians" and variations of that.
There is some method to my madness.

I can go home and turn on the TV any time I need another dose by the way ... (and probably with more intelligent and informed opinion to boot) So all I can say is "Thanks! - for making another involuntary (waiting room) experience more tedious and miserable that it was already set up to be." "You're a real champ!" (and just exactly the person I want to spend the next 45 minutes sitting next to .. )

(21,528 posts)They wanted nothing to do with me. What really burned me was the doc I talked to said
that he and 2 other surgeons had looked at all my CT scans last week and decided they
couldn't do anything for me.
But they made me drive to Kansas City to tell me the bad news so they could charge my
insurance company some money. And then wanted me to go to one of their other locations
for more lab work and a stress test or something, told them no I wasn't going to.
I was polite but could see the writing on the wall, we don't want you as a patient but help
them make more money off of me.

(3,863 posts)It's a weekly open art event where you work on whatever you want and visit with folks exploring their creativity. I went with 2 other friends I know from the Democratic Party. We became friends when we carpooled to see Kamala Harris' rally in Houston before the election. After standing 4.5 hours in the hot sun to see Vice-President Harris, we became closely bonded and see each other regularly now. So today, we went to the art hours together.
There was another lady there before us who was working on jewelry. There were only the four of us, but she was pretty friendly. She showed us her jewelry and told us she was the line dance teacher there as well as a jewelry maker. She was a regular chatty Kathy until she asked us how we knew one another. My friends hem hawed a bit and I finally said, "We're all Democrats." My friend added, we're all active in the Democratic Party and we met when we attended a Kamala Harris rally before the election." I swear to God, it was like her lips were suddenly stitched together. She barely uttered another word, finished packing her stuff up and left.
If I see her again, I'm going to offer to let her check my head for horns.

(41,692 posts)Art should cross the boundaries of political bitterness, which this person could not envision.
Regardless, the weekly open art event sounds like an enjoyable way to spend time with your carpool friends. I think they might have something like that at the library here. It's a great idea to keep people on track with their projects, not to mention getting exposure to the work of others.

I saved this from a year ago when he was still campaigning for his 2nd term. MSNBC ran a poll in the summer of 2024 and Chump "won" as the worst Potus ever. I don't know if they've done a new poll yet, but this is good enough for me.

(38,965 posts)I don't think any of the news stations are playing this up because it makes Chump look very bad.
My guess is they did this back when they assumed Biden was running for a 2nd term.
Remember those days when we all thought Biden would beat Chump in 2024?
