https://www.borowitzreport.com/p/comeys-charges-dismissed-after-trumpsALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA (The Borowitz Report)A federal judge dismissed all charges against former FBI Director James Comey on Wednesday after Donald J. Trumps handpicked US attorney misspelled his name as Homey.
The attorney, Lindsey Halligan, begged the judge to overlook the error, which she blamed on frickin autocorrect.
This is the first time Ive charged someone, Halligan pleaded. Indictmenting is hard.
In yet another embarrassing spelling goof, Halligan referred to the attorneys she ordered to charge Comey as his persecutors.

(31,309 posts)I was arresting for "running a stop sign" while driving on a federal property... ( a NASA facility where I worked ).
You can't pay a fine or go to traffic school. It is a federal crime. You have to go to federal court.
So there I was sitting in a row of defendants, all of them in orange jump suits and shackles and me in jeans and a t-shirt...
And the federal judge was NOT HAPPY... "Mr. LAPFOG... I don't know what the hell you have been charged with or why you are here. You promise to drive more carefully on base? me: Yes, your honor. Judge: OK, case dismissed you are free to go!... and then she turned to the prosecution "I don't want to see anymore of this crap in my courtroom! You understand me?"
So... when I read the title to this post... I was thinking, yeah that COULD happen.
