Eligibility depends solely on being nominated by an eligible nominator. She was nominated in 2019 by three Norwegian MPs (who are eligible nominators).

I have read some stories that they may not give Trump the prize because he is publicly against climate change, which the Nobel Committee views as a crucial issue.

Of course, there are other issues: cancelling USAID, possible indictment at the Hague, authoritarian rule in America;, etc.

We will see.

He has disrespected her for years. In his first term there is a photo of both of them at the United Nations and he is clearly snubbing her while she glares at him. Trump is never at a loss for the wrong thing to do and say.
