(106,502 posts)Like seriously how empty is your life that that's what you decide to choose as your form of entertainment? Go listen to some music, watch some movies, try some new foods, read, think, evolve. Don't watch or listen to Murdoch garbage! Rupert Murdoch is nobody's friend and he should be considered an enemy of the United States.

(6,169 posts)Politics is just one aspect of their preferred entertainment, which is "other people's suffering"--whether it's in sports that involve mauling opponents, daytime dramas and reality shows about people destroying each others' lives, ultra-gory faux-snuff slasher movies, and so on.
But the instant they feel the heat themselves, look out--tsunami of tears incoming!

(2,655 posts)And the vileness and - imo completely unprofessional - nature of bondi's response is telling. It was clear she was performing (as in, performance art) for the proverbial 'audience of 1' in donnie shitshimself.
From the Florida Bar association's rules of professional responsibility (of which Ms. Bondi is a member of the bar) https://www.floridabar.org/prof/regulating-professionalism/professionalism-expectations-2/
....
5. Decorum and Courtesy
When lawyers display reverence for the law, the judicial system, and the legal profession by acting with respect, decorum, and courtesy, including interactions in person and by video conferencing, they earn the trust of the public and help to preserve faith in the operation of a fair judicial system.
A highlight of a few of the 'expectations' that go with this rule:
A lawyer should abstain from rude, disruptive, and disrespectful behavior. The lawyer should encourage clients and support personnel to do the same.
A lawyer should be civil and courteous in all situations, both professional and personal, and avoid conduct that is degrading to the legal profession. (See R. Regulating Fla. Bar 3-4.3).
A lawyer must always behave in a courteous and formal manner in hearings, depositions, and trials and should refrain from seeking special consideration from a judge or juror.
A lawyer should inform clients and witnesses that approving and disapproving gestures, facial expressions, or audible comments are absolutely prohibited in legal proceedings.
A lawyer should attempt to resolve disagreements before requesting a court hearing or filing a motion to compel or for sanctions.

Wiki:
After law school, Schiff spent a year as a law clerk for Judge William Matthew Byrne Jr. of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.[16] From 1987 to 1993, he was an assistant United States attorney in the Office of the United States Attorney for the Central District of California.

(40,696 posts)Doesnt everyone that level of government know Schiff has a law degree? Pure poo flinging and proof that he got under her skin IMO.
Bluetus
(1,656 posts)because Schiff's credentials are so far beyond hers. But in her defense, she might have been having visions of her own trial after Trump is gone and the statues of limitation have not yet expired on her crimes. At that moment, she might have had visions of being on the witness stand on her own defense with the prosecutor asking questions just like this.
All the Trump thugs think they are good forever because the MAGA party will never end. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. But history says we have big pendulum swings when one party gets way out of line. So all these criminals had better be asking themselves, if Turmp falls over dead tomorrow, how safe do they think they will be after that?
And yes, a good lawyer works hard to get the other side on the record under oath.

In the 2024 U.S. News ranking, it was tied for No. 4.
It ranks No. 2 globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025 for Law.
It ranks No. 1 globally in the QS World University Rankings for Law and Legal Studies 2025.

(171,032 posts)Over several hours, the attorney general was unprofessional and partisan, but most importantly, she was evasive, rejecting important lines of inquiry.
AG Pam Bondi was unprofessional and partisan, but most importantly, she was evasive, refusing to answer good questions she didnât like.
— Steve Benen (@stevebenen.com) 2025-10-08T13:48:39.368Z
Fortunately, Adam Schiff kept the receipts. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...
https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/ag-pam-bondi-refused-answer-key-questions-adam-schiff-kept-receipts-rcna236327
But it was the same California senator who also used the opportunity to share some of the receipts hed collected over the course of the proceedings. As The New Republic noted:
Democratic Senator Adam Schiff of California took Attorney General Pam Bondi to task Tuesday for her incessant deflections and evasions throughout a Senate judiciary hearing. Bondi had verbally attacked Democratic senators throughout the hearing rather than answer their questions. Schiff was, evidently, keeping track of questions Bondi left unanswered, and he ran through the lengthy (yet inexhaustive) list.
It was arguably the most memorable exchange of the frustrating hearing.
"This is supposed to be an oversight hearing" -- Schiff helpfully ticks through all of the incriminating questions -- and there are many of them -- that Bondi refused to answer during today's hearing
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-10-07T17:29:23.535Z
As Schiff documented, Bondi refused to respond to all kinds of legitimate lines of inquiry, including:
what role she played in asking that Trumps name be flagged in the Jeffrey Epstein files;
whether White House border czar Tom Homan took the $50,000 from undercover FBI agents in the run-up to the 2024 election;
whether career prosecutors found insufficient evidence to charge former FBI Director James Comey;
whether Bondi discussed the Comey indictment with Trump;
how the administration concluded that military strikes against civilians in international waters are legal;
whether Bondi approved the firing of antitrust lawyers who disagreed with the Hewlett Packard merger;
whether she supported a fund for violent insurrectionists who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6;
whether the Justice Department had fired career professionals because they worked on Jan. 6 cases;
and whether DOJ employees should have to abide by court orders.
In effectively all of these instances, the attorney general couldve offered substantive answers. She instead attacked senators for asking good questions she didnt like.
