GOP busted using South American riot pics to justify Oregon troops: 'We're bad memers'

GOP busted using South American riot pics to justify Oregon troops: 'We're bad memers'

https://www.rawstory.com/trump-oregon-2674161152/

The Oregon Republican Party is facing backlash after it shared a social media post about a planned military deployment in Portland using a fabricated image composed of photographs from South America.

The party's official accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and X claimed, "President Trump on Sunday deployed 300 California National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon after a judge ruled that the Oregon National Guard could not be deployed to keep federal facilities and personnel in Portland safe."

The accompanying image appeared designed to support Trump's claim that Portland's protests were out of control, showing a line of riot police and a crowd with flares creating red smoke. However, the image was a digital composite of two unrelated photographs from different South American countries, The Guardian reported Tuesday.

The police officers in the image originated from a 2008 Getty Images photograph of "South American riot police," with a clear indication of its non-U.S. origin: an officer's shield marked "Policia" in Spanish or Portuguese. The specific location appears to be Ecuador, based on additional context in similar archival images, according to The Guardian.

images from "other (cough cough) sites depiicting GOP members in compromising positions or worse would be just "bad memers," also? I'm sure the net has images of people looking similar to any of those members?

And btw...screw going "high." That's why we are where we are today.

whether local media is pursuing it at all, or whether it just gets ignored and blows over. Apart from DU readers, who will even know about this BS?

Now we say "Never trust a republican". I don't believe a single word any of them say. It's just lie after lie after lie after lie.

Lie, cheat, steal, abuse minor girls for decades, rig elections, defund law enforcement, ignore the courts that aren't already corrupted, pardon insurrectionists and hire them to terrorize legal citizens, turn over the machinery of our federal government to the architect of Project 2025, deface the White House inside and out, grovel to putin on the world stage, commit genocide for waterfront resort property, insult and ignore allies, hire incompetent toadies for every administration position, murder innocent fishermen to justify invading an oil rich country, make fun of other people's appearances after looking in the mirror every morning, destroying the fabric of our democracy so billionaires can get all the wealth remaining in our country, smelling bad and putting catsup on steaks.
Yesterday he said he'd "consider" invoking martial law if governors or mayors didn't allow ICE into their communities. We. Are. There.

They have no shame. S. America 2008 video? And in Oregon too? The great Mark Hatfield (R of Oregon) would be ashamed.

The Nazis just had to tear down this border gate and invade Poland because the Poles had attacked
Germany.

Next you know we are going to have the Sec. of Homeland Security doing a staged event because
Gov. Pritzger of Illinois stopped her from using the bathroom in Chicago and she just happened to
have a camera crew, a man pretending to be a reporter, and the whole thing was produced by a right
wing agitator named Benny Johnson.

Or a faked gun shot wound to Trump’s ear or using the wrong type of paper so the chads get hung
up and the vote counting is stopped.

Or blaming Iraq for 9/11 and starting an unneeded war. Or the Republicans lying to protect a
pedophile child sex trafficker. Or a national news network that is built lying called Fox. Or Elon
Musk being into voting data in 2024. Or having a convicted felon as President.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gleiwitz_incident

On the night of 31 August 1939, a small group of German operatives dressed in Polish uniforms and led by Naujocks seized the Gleiwitz station and broadcast a short anti-German message in Polish (sources vary on the content of the message). The operation was named "Grossmutter gestorben" (Grandmother died). The operation was to make the attack and the broadcast look like the work of Polish anti-German saboteurs. The operation was planned and carried out from the Sławięcice Palace (Schloss Slawentzitz).

To make the attack seem more convincing, the Gestapo executed Franciszek Honiok, a 43-year-old unmarried Upper Silesian Catholic farmer, known for sympathising with the Poles. He had been arrested the previous day by the Gestapo and dressed to look like a saboteur, then rendered unconscious by an injection of drugs, then killed by gunshot wounds. Honiok was left dead at the scene so that he appeared to have been killed while attacking the station. His corpse was then presented to the police and press as proof of the attack. Several prisoners from the Dachau concentration camp were drugged, shot dead on the site and their faces disfigured to make identification impossible.

This tells me that Mierda47 doesn't read/listen to any National Security briefing and is easily manipulated by Fox News stories, Oregon GQP postings and any other organization, as long as it meets Mierda47's agenda.
