Retired four-star U.S. Army Gen. Barry McCaffrey slammed President Donald Trump on Wednesday for suggesting the use of what he called dangerous American cities as training grounds for the military.
McCaffrey in an appearance on MSNBCs Morning Joe stressed that the hundreds of thousands of troops with the National Guard are a national treasure, describing them as our friends and neighbors who are well-equipped to respond to disasters.

It's time for a lot more retired generals to be speaking out about the attempted coup happening in real time. Where is Wesley Clark?

(5,990 posts)His comments are right on target. We need more of this but will our corporate media put them on the air? I think some retired generals need to come together as some kind of non-political coalition to demand press attention to the proper role of the military in the U.S.
