I do believe that Newsom threatens Trump's "manhood"!!--whatever there is left of it.

(59,058 posts)I used to think he wouldn't make a serious run for the White House. Now, I have to wonder. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are left-handed, too!

(2,817 posts)Im ready to back Newsom or Eric Swalwell in 2028 for the WH if they choose to run. That is not set in stone but I feel either of them would make a fine POTUS.

(59,058 posts)I'd include Schiff and Buttegeig in that list (as far as being able to do the job admirably goes), and it would still be by no means complete. I hope everyone keeps their powder dry for as long as possible, and that the primary season is mercifully short, because the presidency in 2028 is going to be like the presidency in 2008: the fight for the White House will be contained to the fight for the Democratic nomination. After the disaster wrought by the Republicans in the four preceding years, only seizing the White House by force would keep it in Republican hands--not that I would count that out as a possibility, you understand.
