General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIn some way or another Trump hurts us all directly. For over 15 years I have been buying a particularly expensive
medication from a Canadian pharmacy. It is a real brick and mortar store. I buy a brand name product manufactured in Canada at a considerable savings over Costco. The service has always been prompt and there has never been an issue with customs.
Now, because of the tariffs and possible issues with customs they are no longer shipping to the USA. I want to thank the Orange Goon for reaching into my pocket and costing me a significant amount of money every month.

(1,629 posts)At this point in time I am willing to pay extra for brand name or at least made in USA quality control.
Of course the destruction of the FDA may undermine quality control here as well.

(2,542 posts)A very large portion of the drugs sold in the US come from other countries, mainly Genarics, likey that some you now take come from India and are repackaged here.

(26,540 posts)My cat's asthma inhaler isn't able to be shipped. Was $99, paid $149 in May for the initial tax and now they have stopped shipping altogether due to the fluctuations and uncertainty.
Locally, I got a quote for $350 from my grocery pharmacy. Costco is going to try to order and run with a GoodRx coupon to hopefully keep it under $200. They had me open a GRx account in his name and are giving me a 50/50 shot at it working as this is a veterinary prescription. Fingers crossed.
SO beyond pissed at the orange menace over this that I actually had a dream about camping out in a tent in line to piss on his grave.
