James O'Brien, of British radio, said it was simply "racism".

He was commenting on Trump's comments about the Pakistani Mayor of London, who has been elected three times to his position. O'Brien called him the most successful mayor ever, in terms of electoral success.

Trump continued to badmouth him and call him vile names.

O'Brien said people, especially the British tabloids, are afraid to call it what it is.

It is nothing more than simple racism.

Donald Trump is a "racist".

James O'Brien nailed it. When someone repeatedly attacks an elected official not for their policies but for their identity — their race, religion, or heritage — it's not political disagreement. It's racism, plain and simple.

Trump has a long, documented history of this kind of rhetoric. The fact that it continues to be normalized or excused by the media — both in the UK and the US — is dangerous.

Sadiq Khan was elected three times by the people of London. That’s democracy. What Trump does is demagoguery.
