Stop. Spending. Money.

The only reason our economy isn’t in a deep recession is the consumer.

We must apply consumer sanctions to this government.

They are a cultish dictatorship.

The only sure way to win in 2026 is to make the election an economic indictment of the MAGAs.

Will it hurt? Yes. Might some struggle? Yes. But we must sacrifice to make sure the public turns on Trump once and for all!

The Reich is blaming ALL people who post here on DU for Charlie Kirk. Fuck them all! You should hear the hateful rhetoric. Disgusting. Every time you spend a penny you support the excrement that is people like Stephen Miller!

4. If you "save" your money that's leaving it for someone else to decide how it's being used.

It's a conundrum. The money my wife and I have in our credit union is used by borrowers to finance cars and homes, which isn't too horrible.

If you really want to hurt the economy you've got to voluntarily reduce your income, or at least give some of it away to people who need it more than you do.

It's related to environmental impacts too. It's damned near impossible for an affluent person to reduce their personal environmental footprint.

The smallest environmental footprint I ever had was when I was homeless and living in my broken car in a church parking lot.

It is such a freeing lifestyle. My main reason for doing it is for the environmental impact. I just couldn't be a party to the destruction of our earth. It helped of course that I grew up in a family where there was very little disposable income and we were taught by our parents that things are not what make a happy life. We truly need very little in this life to be content.

But telling working class people, who are upside down, barely holding on, and often wondering how they'll make it month to month, that they should just stop buying things as if they have that luxury...

Coffee drink = $7
F16 Fighter Jet = $70 million

We have a dictatorship. Trump is turning us into Turkey and Venezuela.

Time for severe consumer sanctions against this country.

Don’t spend money on this country!
