Adding more red districts usually means those districts will have narrower margins than before.
If there's a blue wave election, it may overwhelm those margins.

I'll have to dig to find the exact data, but I believe Democratic candidates have been running an average of 15 or 16% above Kamala Harris's performance in the same districts.
