I'd guess that those folks never bothered to meet with anyone from those communities
...we need more outreach and whatever visibility these folks who are being marginalized and outright attacked and killed can afford or bear to get the message across that they ALL OF US and need our FULL AND ACTIVE support, not just for the moment, but an enduring focus and relationship.
