"This week has demonstrated that the tech broligarch whos most influenced President Donald Trumps second administration isnt Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, or Marc Andreessenits Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, the 80-year-old software tycoon who recently became the second-richest man in the world.
Just look at everything thats gone his way. On Thursday evening, the Federal Communications Commission finally voted to approve Paramounts $8.4 billion merger with fellow entertainment firm Skydance Media. The controversial, long-awaited deal only came about thanks to Paramounts appeals to this administration: settling a baseless lawsuit that Trump brought against 60 Minutes for deceptively editing its Kamala Harris interview, pressuring subsidiary CBS News to shift its balance in a right-wing direction, and canceling presidential foe and beloved comedian Stephen Colberts highly rated late-night talk show."
Unfortunately there is a pay wall for the rest

(697 posts)going to finally say, that no one person should have that kind of money. When does it stop? The relentless quest for more. How is it even sustainable? To continue to try and make more money day after day, year after year. It's completely obscene, and it sickens me.
