(8,363 posts)He could have so easily shrugged this off like the "locker room talk" stuff previously and the story would be DOA.
His stupid denial gives it legs.

(1,364 posts)that's who. He's crashing and burning before our eyes and it's glorious. I don't wanna hear the 'but what about the country?" BS either. That ship has sailed. Prez Vance is warming up in the bullpen. Yeah, I know he could be worse and probly will be but anything to get rid of that POS at this point is fine by me

(166,499 posts)Responding to a report about his former relationship with Epstein, Trump said, I never wrote a picture in my life." The record suggests otherwise.
Are you surprised that something he said is demonstrably untrue?

The letter bearing Trumps name, which was reviewed by the Journal, is bawdy like others in the album. It contains several lines of typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman, which appears to be hand-drawn with a heavy marker. A pair of small arcs denotes the womans breasts, and the future presidents signature is a squiggly Donald below her waist, mimicking pubic hair. The letter concludes: Happy Birthday and may every day be another wonderful secret.
.....In the latter missive, the president wrote, in reference to the letter attributed to him, These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I dont draw pictures. The Republican made similar on-the-record comments to the Journal, which quoted him saying, This is not me. This is a fake thing. Its a fake Wall Street Journal story. I never wrote a picture in my life. I dont draw pictures of women. Its not my language. Its not my words......
The New York Times reported during the presidents first term, for example, on a 2005 sketch of the Manhattan skyline that Trump drew and signed, which sold at auction for more than $29,000. He signed other drawings that also sold for considerable sums.
Whats more, in his 2008 book, Never Give Up, Trump wrote about his annual habit of donating autographed doodles to be auctioned for charity.
