Just got off the phone with the CEO of one of the largest mortgage lenders in the U.S. mortgage delinquencies are up 200% in 6 months.
People arent just stretched. Theyre snapping.

(9,529 posts)the crypto market is very dangerous. He is pushing it with his appointments, the push towards no regulation, and even hoping to have the US Treasury participate. It is very dangerous because the more that is invested the more likely it becomes "too big to fail".
the first step would be for make it illegal for members of congress to invest in crypto and stocks but they will never allow that because it would keep them from making their fortunes with insider information.
Although many people, even at the top think they are doing well, if the dollar loses it reserve currency status we are all screwed....they are playing with fire.

(5,173 posts)Over 100 years of economic data at a conservative financial services firm I worked at show the worst thing for the economy, by far, is a Repub President, Senate, and House.
The best, just beating out all Dems, is a Democratic President and mixed Congress.

(259 posts)I didnt think the direction was sustainable before Trump and certainly is even scarier now. I cant imagine what mitigation efforts this administration, the House, and the Senate would come up with.
