I called the Mexican Embassy in Washington D.C. to pass my thanks on to President Scheinbaum and the Mexican people

for her and their kindness, thoughtfulness, and compassion in sending rescue workers into Texas. In the very face of Texan racism, bigotry, and hard-heartedness. The people of Mexico have my admiration.

When I hear Mexican rescuers were on the ground, helping out with the rescue of flood victims, my heart went out in gratitude for them and the Mexican people. It is such a compassionate move, on the part of the President of the Mexican president, too.

Then juxtaposed to the odious round ups, by the current administration, of persons from Mexico, and, Central America at work sites, farms or because they look like they are from those places. I realized that, not only were helping to fill a gap in federal emergency responders, created by, tsf's, administration as he works on thinning out the federal government, they too, were putting their lives at risk.
