(2,312 posts)That Walmart has been raising prices on everybody since Covid started? I remember half and half jumping from 4 bucks a half gallon to $5.68 overnight. Soda $5 bucks a 12 pack to $7.69 etc.....
In pursuit of total honesty, I'm ballparking the price rise but I'm within a few cents either way and now gonna raise them some more. Hmmmjmm
Makes one think this whole tariff thing is but an excuse to bring back the unequality that existed from the 70's to late 20teens that was rectified by al the voter approved minimum wage hikes.

(1,722 posts)I lived in a country where food was expensive. What I would pay $100. for in the USA was the equivalent of $165. there,
first to go, snacks, soda, prepared foods. And nothing is wasted!
American food purchasing and eating habits will change as tariffs hit. The choice between empty calories and healthy produce and protein will have to be made by American families!
