Post 5000 - "It wasn't me!"

Last edited Sat May 17, 2025, 01:30 PM - Edit history (1)

Back in 2002 (or 2003) ...
An online friend from my early days of Internet gaming started sending me posts from DU

Eventually I started lurking here, then something Bush did really got to me, and I felt more and
more compelled to speak up about it, and what was going on back then

I had found my online hometown, my community

Our protected, comforting refuge, our oasis outside the maddening crazy world of politics

DU helped me over the years to come, what a gift this place has been !!

So it's only fitting that my post 5000 be about yet another wreaking clown in our White House

As Shaggy's song says...

When you've been caught red handed, your best response is very simple:

Just keep repeating...

It wasn't me!

Edit to add:
And today, he's blaming Walmart - not the tariffs - for raised prices !

LOL

A cartoon character

Which says many sad things about the character of the supporting American voters who put him back into power

We've sure been here a long time lol

Seeing your avatar image always makes me smile

I must have already shared this beautiful cover of Waiting In Vain with you ?

From their description:

"Kali Ana Au," is an ode to Bob Marley's "Waiting In Vain", translated in to 'ōlelo Hawai'i with the utmost respect for various 'ōlelo no'eau and capturing the poetry of Bob Marley's iconic lyrics. We have poured our hearts and souls into this project, and we are stoked to share it to the world.
