And insane. And most importantly, not a single person around him has a shred of dignity or guts. This seems to be more about making everyone eat his shit than even groveling or such. This seems to be more he doesn't understand economics at all and no one dare explain it to him.

but, there have been many economists or those who simply know who have publicly explained it to everyone how screwed we are. I believe that trump keeps his ears open to what media is saying about him, and he knows without further teaching. The problem is that he is narcissistic and has power. He has always said that he knows more than anyone else about EVERYTHING. So he is flushing us down an economic toilet, and because he has money and grown children, he just doesn't care.

His deficiency is not that he's stupid, it's that he doesn't know that he's stupid, and just doesn't care about anyone else at all but himself.

They thought he wouldn't go through with the tariffs because it makes absolutely no business sense.

But it does make sense for someone who just wants to grab personal power any way he can.

I think he & a couple of drooling, sycophantic advisors actually this is the great idea that puts him on Rushmore.
I honestly believe this crowd sincerely believes this trade war is a good idea.

According to economic cranks of all stripes, in every transaction somebody wins and somebody loses. It's literally impossible for protectionists to see transactions as mutually beneficial exchanges.

TRUMP DOES NOT WANT TO NEGOTIATE.

TRUMP WANTS TARIFFS.

"Negotiate" is nonsense his explainers say to get people that understand tariffs to vote for him.

the horse he rode in on.

The tale of Caligula’s horse, Incitatus, being appointed as a senator is one of the most outlandish anecdotes about the emperor’s supposed madness. Incitatus was not just any horse; by all accounts, Caligula lavished him with luxuries typically reserved for Rome’s elite. The horse lived in a marble stable, with an ivory manger, and was the recipient of jewelry and other decadent trappings of wealth. The story goes that Caligula was so enamored with Incitatus that he intended to make a farce of the senatorial proceedings by raising his horse to the high office of a consul.

He’s an immature baby man. An impish clown. A very Bad Dog.
