My "populist" message for the Democratic Party
Can we talk about "anger"? Apparently, I am supposed to be outraged. It's not enough that EVERY policy enacted by the Democratic Party has bettered the lives of Middle Class, Blue Collar "salt-of-the-earth" Americans, what is supposed to "motivate" me is "anger", NOT just "economics".
I guess the "gist" is, even though I should "support" the Democratic Party, the Retrumplicans have done a better job creating blind hate, so they win. Even though we have a 50 year, fact-filled history, that the trickle-down bullshit imposed by Retrumplican policy has absolutely decimated the American Middle Class.
I guess I am a member of the "manosphere". I am your typical “angry middle class white male” voter. In my 7TH decade in this country, retired military, not many bills, social security, Medicare and Tricare, I am in the twilight of my American Dream.
I am angry that the Retrumplican Party has destroyed that American Dream for so many that will NEVER know the "comfort" I have been able to achieve in this country.
So, how do we get that dream back for so many others?
We have to get fucking PISSED! I am already there.

I’m angry that white middle class males support a Republican Party that has done nothing but shatter their lives, send their kids off to endless wars, wrecked their labor rights, screwed their wages and told their mothers, wives, sisters, daughters and granddaughters that “they aren’t smart enough, or emotionally secure enough” to control their own health care.
- I’m pissed that they put Ronald Reagan and Donnie Dipshit into office twice, believing that it was “their” social safety net and economic protections, and NOT the profits of the 1% that had become bloated and ineffective.
- I’m pissed that they have declared me their enemy!
It's not just me that they have declared their enemy!
It's EVERY “American” that has been fortunate enough to have a decent pension, or benefits package, or labor protections, because we are NOT the "just be fucking thankful you have a job" lemmings they WANT EVERY BLUE-COLLAR WORKER to be.
That's their "American Dream"...to have us so beholden to billionaire "job creators" that we will suffer EVERY INDIGNITY, just for the "pleasure" of their shit wages. When American workers have to piss in a bottle in front of someone, for a drug test to work at Walmart, we have already surrendered our dignity.
I’m fucking ticked-off that we don’t ask; "WHY DO MY BENEFITS AND RETIREMENT PLANS and LABOR PROTECTIONS SUCK SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!?" Instead of being angry and jealous of our fellow Americans with those benefits.
And it's not just the way they have crushed the American Middle Class under their boots economically.
- I’m fucking apopletic that the White Middle Class males watched 5 and 6 year old kids get their fucking brains blown out and their torsos blown in half by military grade weapons and ammunition magazines in a FUCKING GRADE SCHOOL, and allowed some asshat from the Retrumplican Party and the NRA to convince them that we couldn’t do ONE reasonable fucking thing to make this mass-murder shit a little harder to carry out. That’s all we were asking…"let’s just make killing massive amounts of people just a little bit harder". Instead they listened to the ass-pickles from the NRA and the Retrumplican Party, that they KNOW in their hearts, would be the first pricks to turn tail and run in a barfight.
White Middle Class male Americans gave away just about all the labor rights, physical security and social justice progress that their forefathers fought and died for, without so much as a whimper.
I am pissed that large numbers of White Middle Class men always find someone else to blame for their plight. They have been brainwashed by incessant horseshit on talk radio or constantly told by Faux News that, “others” and NOT their own “effing” votes and support for the asshat party, are the reason they’ve been held back. It’s never the fact that they’ve bought into the “trickle-down” bullshit that has caused their wages to stagnate, their social safety net to be destroyed, or their employment right to be diminished…NO…it’s always the fault of some “other”.
-Some mythical Welfare Queen
-Some immigrant picking lettuce for $20 a day
-Some LGBT person who just wants to be left the “eff” alone to love who they love and prosper in freedom
-Some Union Member that patrols their streets, teaches their kids, or protects their home from fire.
Hell NO! Admitting that they’ve been played like fools for the past 50 years would require them to blame themselves, and they are way too cowardly to do that.
So what do they do? They continue to vote for pricks like Donald Trump, or Chuck Grassley, or JD Vance, or Tom Cotton, or Susan Collins, in the hopes that maybe, if we just pump more wealth to the top, it’ll all start trickling down eventually.
But hey, when it doesn’t, they’ll just blame the liberals, the hippies, the dope smokers and the queers.
Now, if you are as angry as I am, direct that anger to the party that has earned it.
For 50 years now, that anger has been misplaced toward the wrong "boogy-man". It's time to turn that anger back to where it belongs. The Retrumplican Party.

I am a veteran, not retired, white male, straight, European descent, brought up Christian, you name it.
And I differ from the magats in that I have not substituted my balls for my brain in life.

The republicons have always been for the rich. My uncle used to curse FDR with every breath.
But with the "Southern Strategy" they latched onto racism as their vehicle and have used hate, resentment and projection to fool people into voting against their own best interests. Propaganda wars straight from the fascist playbook. Literally.
BY CONTRAST: Anger, in the form if righteous indignation, is a positive force.
Cracking the hypnotic spell of 24 by 7 by 365 propaganda is like prying people from a cult.
Long story short, people usually have to hit rock bottom, like addicts, before changing, because it's always easier to blame than to become aware.
I have argued in these forums that it will take some brave individuals to stand up to the Hitler wannabes until the obvious becomes obvious: that people are being used and abused, when a light shines through the fog of induced hate and resentment.
The "old brain", the "fight or flight" limbic system overrides the thinking brain, but the culture as lived is a pack of manipulative lies.
It's very obvious in the stock market, as in casinos, that people are led to play a losing game. Racism is taught. Resentment is taught. Misogyny and xenophobia are taught. These are the self-defeating stories and myths that blind people to the plain truth:
