I really liked him throughout his career. RIP, Val

'Edited to add, that while I can freely criticize Tom Cruise for a lot--he did handle Kilmer's inclusion in Tom Gun Maverick in a very sensitive and emotional way. So, I do credit him for that.

He was odd and quirky and so good in the roles he played. I have heard so many people who worked with him speak of his talent and how broad it was. I always liked him. I got a lot of pleasure from his acting. *sigh* another good one down but never out.
