I Was Misled About Social Security

I was told that since the Timid 10 voted for the CR, it would protect our SS.

My morning news comes from freespeechtv.org, and I know that Malcolm Nance is not an expert on Social Security, but what he said scared the shit out of me.

Nance said that 90% of SSA is gone and the only thing left are the computers. His point being that it isn't going to take long for SS to self-destruct. Delays will grow to unmanageable lengths. Problems will take much longer to resolve. I hope Malcolm was just being overly dramatic.

Oh and he also said that Bibi and Krasnov may be getting ready to wage war against Iran. Maybe the fact that Putin is tight with Iran will slow Krasnov down?

Do Town Halls.

2. Well, I hope if he is right he will continue to speak to this on serious outlets, including MSNBC (or even CNN)

and less so on Stephanie Miller, who, for whatever reason, feels the compulsive need to make light and laugh and joke about everything--including the deadly serious. I do not dislike her in general, but that approach to what is going on right now makes me furious. Serious matters require a serious attitude and approach. One can still have a "watchable" show or podcast others will listen to.

As to Nance appearing on more serious platforms, he can THEN be required to provide his evidence or support his statements--something I've never heard Stephanie Miller do.

If someone posts a thread here and then verifies it by posting a link to "The Hill" that is better?

I don't need an expert to see what Musk is doing to SS and the other government institutions.

People who downplay what is going on is what leads to a dictatorship.

13. WTF? Why are you lashing out at me? Nor have I discounted what Nance fears. I want HIM to both give more

details AND to speak on a platform that won't make a joke out of the whole thing.

Did you mean to address this to the other responding poster? It would seem you would be more upset (as I pointed out) that Stephanie Miller always makes a big joke about the incredibly serious matters Nance speaks to. Not a Rachel Maddow "being pleasant" before she gets serious issue, but a joking and nonserious attitude throughout.

So, if that semi-negative impression of Miller as a forum for Nance is what bothers you about my post, sorry, but I remain convinced it is self-defeating of our attempts to WAKE UP the populace--something you seem to agree with.

on YouTube.
He ran the third largest SS office in the country, retired and now does videos daily on SS. He gets info from insiders. If anyone can tell you exactly what is going on he can.

I will say I called SSA this week to set up an appointment and had a pleasant experience.

and there is a reason Musk and Trump are moving so quickly.

The reason is to get their shit done before anyone can figure out how to stop it.

I know their actions do not fit the formal definition of the word "treason", but to me, what they are doing is treasonous.

6. People who are scared are easier to control and manipulate

The gun industry is a good example of exploiting this. Spreading fear increases sales and gets laws passed that protects them and their profits .

Malcom Nance isn't an expert on SS and it'd behoove you to check other sources. Especially those who actually are experts on the subject

9. What he said scared the shit out of me does not correlate with my character

I spoke truth to power 50 years ago when people tried to strip coal and frack on our pristine watershed. I got death threats in my small town but I didn't back down, I got the townspeople behind me.

People who get their news from morning cable are the ones who are easier to manipulate.

I will stick with freespeechgtv.org for my morning news. I will do Deadline Whitehouse and Rachel for evening news.

With Stephanie Miller it's the guests she has on her shows that I listen to.

MSNBC fired Ed Schultz, Keith Olbermann, Dylan Ratigan, Martin Brashear, Melissa Harris/Perry, not because of bad ratings.

The major shareholders of CNN and MSNBC are the same people.

Incredibly fast even though it took him almost a month to get the appointment but if his claim was processed in just 2 days the system is broken yet.

I was a victim of WEP and GPO and SSA totally resolved my increased payment and backpay recently too within their end of March goal for processing the adjustments for over 3 million people. At my local SS office, so far only one employee opted for buyout but they were planning to retire this summer anyway.

There are too many of us collecting. My suggestion is that if I'm wrong, and it does go away, all the affected seniors need to move in with a Republican family. Maybe show up at Elon Musk's house, because even if his m-i-l wouldn't complain, most elderly moms and grandmas would.
