DOGE got my nephew yesterday..

Not probationary, he was a scientist / chemist with the FDA. They just paid to move him from California to Detroit and Eloon and crowd decided to lay him off yesterday. Now my sister is scared they will try to make him pay for his own relocation by taking back what the FDA paid him to move.

Maybe they timed it to coincide with all the other news to try to hide the carnage nationwide yesterday, but for now I'm just raging on anything Maga I come across. Two special elections in FL yesterday didn't help...

I realize emotion comes into play, but prior to yesterday I was with the crowd that says not to criticize Dem leadership. Today I want fighters.

I just have to say I hope they got the message not to slow roll justice this time around with these idiots. Stop being nice to them trying to make things normal once they are gone. Fight like there isn't a tomorrow, because with these current idiots running the country, there may not be.

I've actually been here since Bush. Back then I downloaded anti republican songs and pictures from a site with the same name. One day I showed up and it was a site like now. I still have my "I hate Republicans",(Happy Tones) on my phone as well as "Rush is a Nazi".

Surprised to find Happy Tones still available on Youtube.

Yeah. Weren't we naive?

To think this country has come to this, the nightmare so many of us thought couldn't happen. Well, I knew it could happen, but who listened to me? LOL

I saw a headline that said there was massive purge yesterday in the Kennedy departments. Anything in the drug/food/disease had layoffs. Gutted basically.

If you don't need vaccines, why would you need someone to test them?

Yes, it is a true disaster. Get all your vaccines now. We will have to go to other countries to get new ones.

Democrats lost in districts where Magats were winning by 35 points, they only won this time by 14 and 15 points.

Musk spent at least 23 million dollars in Wisconsin and lost.

Democrats won special elections in Pa. and NY, the tide is turning.

What Democrats need to do is get out and meet with the people and listen to them and let them know what Musk/Trump are doing to them.

Democratic leadership needs to organize every damn Congressional Democrat to do town halls. It should not be left to Bernie, AOC, and a handful of other Democrats to do town halls.

My first suggestion is to Chuck Schumer, one of the Timid 10 who voted for the CR. If you really believe that voting for the CR gave us more time to defeat Musk/Trump then I want to see it from you and the other Timid 10 members by getting out and doing town halls. Just curious about how many members of the Timid 10 have done town halls?

It is up to us to save ourselves. The people are ready, are Congressional Democrats? I would love to have a Democrat do a town hall within 50 miles of me seeing as I live in Magat country. I will show up, I will donate to whoever does the town hall, I will participate.

In the meantime I am donating to Indivisible.

The Musk/Trump team are decimating many of the government services they rely on and they know Republicans in Congress are doing absolutely nothing to stop the carnage, so they vote for more Republicans. When Fall rolls around and there is no flu shot to help protect them, who will they blame? When they apply for Social Security (Florida has a lot of retirees) and there is no one to help them and answer questions, what will they do? They may have to drive a hundred miles or more to find a Social Security office or they are likely to be limited to calling a phone number that gets answered in another country by a person whose English is incomprehensible after Musk privatizes Social Security.

Republicans consistently vote against their own interests. Is it so important to them to hate Democrats that they’re willing to hurt themselves?

Republicans thrive by instilling fear in voters and hatred of people not like them. Democrats run on policies to help people. It turns out that fear and hatred are better motivators for Republican voters than their own self interest.

They don't know their problems are created by Republican politicians and not immigrants or people of color. The facts aren't the issue, it's the information bubble they are in. Fox, Qanon, Joe Rogan, RW Radio, Spanish speaking RW radio, and now Facebook and Twitter have gone over to the dark side.

They don't turn on MSNBC or follow any liberal media. They don't read, or go to town halls. They just don't know the truth.
If we can't change that, we will lose again.

Adam Schiff places hold on Ed Martin's nomination to be D.C. U.S. attorney

President Trump's controversial choice to be the top federal prosecutor in Washington, D.C., Ed Martin, faces an uncertain future, as a Senate Democrat plans to put an indefinite hold on his nomination.

Martin, a "Stop the Steal" advocate and former defense attorney who represented U.S. Capitol riot defendants, is Mr. Trump's nominee to be U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, and Sen. Adam Schiff, a first-term Democrat from California, plans to hold his nomination amid a growing number of controversial statements and decisions by Martin.

The position is among the highest-profile and most powerful federal prosecutor positions in the U.S. Martin, who refers to himself as "Ed the Eagle," has been serving as acting U.S. attorney for D.C. since Inauguration Day.

Senators have the power to invoke a hold on a presidential nominee, a maneuver that can slow or stall consideration of a nominee for days or weeks. Precious Senate floor time is often needed to overcome holds on presidential nominees.

"For the past nine weeks, Ed Martin has consistently undermined the independence and abused the power of the US Attorney's office in DC, openly threatening and intimidating political opponents, dismissing charges against his own clients, firing public servants for their roles in legitimate investigations and using his office as a cudgel to chill dissent and free speech," Schiff said in a statement to CBS News.

I don't know if other Blue states have done the same, or where the money will come from esp. if we keep losing Federal funds.

It seems Blue states need to step up and replace what is being lost in the Federal government. The problem is, we have to keep sending taxes to the Feds so how do we fund these things? Our federal tax dollars no longer funding science, instead funding billionairs and crytpcurreny while subsidizing Red states.
