The GOP can't govern by itself, and it can't wrangle enough votes to pass these things on its own because of assholes inside of its caucus (surprise!).
Democrats could, if they were actual fighters/strategists/communicators/politicians that cared about the rule of law, leverage their votes to get some god damned law and order to apply.
Like, withhold their votes until Felon Muck is behind bars for breaking a million laws.

(248 posts)It's budget or bust (and my money is on bust). A continuing resolution just funds again all of the agencies that have been cut so that's most likely not going to happen.
Let the repubs shut it down.

(1,103 posts)Dems should be focused on shutting down doge and musk. That should be the price for their cooperation in passing the funding bills.
Stay away from the details about government spending or cost savings or whatever bullshit they want to make this about. Musk and Doge are breaking the law and they need to shut it down.
Musk and doge are unpopular. Calling for its shut down will have broad appeal.
The choice for the R's is either shut down doge and Musk or shut down the government.
