I love that we do this Maine. Also, it makes it easier for parents because it is really hard to keep up the status of your kids account at school. I remember before the free meals my kid would eat breakfast at home, but then he would randomly eat breakfast at school too, which I wasn't expecting and I only gave him money for lunch.
