I wish I could give you a specific example, but I don't have one. It's more of a general impression I've gotten that some people don't like the way he factually reports whatever numbers are coming in with a lot of energy and enthusiasm no matter which side seems to be winning. If he thinks it's not looking good for a Democratic candidate, he'll simply say so, not because he's rooting against them, but because those are simply the facts at that point in time.

Personally, I think that's fine, but I suspect some people would like him to be more of a cheerleader for the Democrats and express more of an emotional reaction to what the board is showing. I don't think that's how he sees his job, though. He is focused on the numbers, and he's there to report on them, period.

Unfortunately (and in my opinion unfairly), I think that some people may be mistaking the objectivity that he sees as part of his job for a lack of concern about whether Democrats are winning, and it's rubbing them the wrong way.

That's my theory, for whatever it's worth. I have no idea if I'm right, snd if anyone has an alternate theory, I'd be very interested to hear it.

He and his big board are essential to knowing where remaining votes are coming from and the history of the county/precinct being discussed.

I haven’t noticed an anti-Harris slant to his reporting, though I don’t have MSNBC on 24/7 either.

Some clips I have seen of him reporting on poll results, he just parrots the info the pollster has released, without much critical examination, although he does seem to mention the MOE pretty consistently.

On DuckDuckGo, "Steve kornacki" and "log cabin republican" -- and another search using "log cabin Republicans" (plural). The first search brought up a handful of links, all but one from here on DU, and all but one of those written by the poster above. The other link was a bio of SE Cupp (who evidently worked with Kornacki at one time) -- and oddly, she is a Log Cabin Republican.

For the plural form, there was nothing new -- only longer news pieces where Kornacki's name was in a list of news that included Melania getting paid $273k to appear at an LCR event.

So, yeah. Sources -- other than this site -- welcome.

* he's they guy that I'd avoid being near at the office. At a social gathering I'd exit whatever room he was in and socialize elsewhere.

Is he on drugs?

I've never heard him degrade any particular candidate. I HAVE heard him play the horse race game non-stop. It is insufferable.

As someone else said in the comments, there's rarely anything substantive behind these types of claims.

Now, it seems, one needn't even get the quote of what was SAID in order to start a hate fest about it...Not a good look.

His antics only contributed to my anxiety during the 2020 election. A lot of "if this happens, but if this happens" type of stuff.

He's a more excitable Nate Silver.

Don't shoot the messenger. He's just reporting what the data says. I love the sportscaster schtick he uses. He's much better than either of the CNN guys. Can't say anything about the Fox person. That network is banned in my house.
But Kornaki is always a must watch for me. The data pisses me off somethings, but it is what it is.

GOTV and let's make this a done deal!!!

His style may be a little manic - but he's professional, objective, and hard-working as all get-out.

You don't see that combination in too many political analysts anymore.

what he's been saying lately. When he turns up these days I just change the channel because I always got so stressed out just watching him flailing around and jabbering like he was recorded at 33-1/3 and played at 78.

When Kornacki shows up, I change the channel. I am sick of his old tired schtick. He is annoying and boring at the same time. He is a one-trick pony. He gets paid to make the election seem like a horse race to keep ratings up. Automatic channel change for me.

When saying that he promotes the horse race,if he commented that the Dems had it in the bag, it could cause some people not to vote. They may think that since it is a done deal, why bother?

As for attacking his clothing, I think that is childish and just plain ignorant. We sure wouldn't put up with anyone commenting on how females dress, so shouldn't we show the same courtesy to males?

There are a lot more important things going on in the world than this.

I can't agree about the "bullshit artist" part, and he seems to have a busy, somewhat 'okay' history in tv and internet journalism, but I've detected a bias in his numbers interpretations.

Where do I start? Kristen seems almost orgasmic about Trump's improving numbers. She and Steve equate Trump's unfavorables with Kamala Harris's unfavorables--like fascism's negatives are comparable in any universe to democracy's unfavorables. Almost every statistic is presented as dooming Harris and the one bright spot for Kamala (change) is shrinking. Several ways of showing indicators mean Trump is likely to win. Abortion has never before been a deciding factor. ETC ETC ETC Oh, and has anyone ever seen Steve Kornacki get dramatic and flail around about the horrors of fascism or the dangers of white supremacy?
