my two cents on the 39 minute music "interlude" by the orange asshole...

yes, he's sundowning, but at the same time, he's so fucking vane that he refuses to grasp that he's getting down right fucking nutty.

so what does he do? in his brain addled mind, he needs to compete with Harris on a different level.

what is that level?

well, when you see a Harris campaign event, it's like a giant party and people are having a great time. great music, great fun, lots of joy and love around.

what does the orange asshole have? hate, revenge and down right shitiness.

so he needs to "weave" and he does that by playing an endless drone of music from HIS youthful days and stands there sundowning all the while swaying and doing the occasional arm chug dance.

even if I were a hard core mega, I would still be saying, "what the fuck is this shit?"

that shit is exactly what it is: the narcissist being out played.

He sees that Kamala has the youth following and the black following and he's decided he can show people he's not old by pretending he is hip and cool and with it. He is none of those things, of course. He has never been cool or with it or hip, not even in his 20's.

My MiL knew for a while that she was forgetting things, and having "strange dreams" that made her think things that weren't true. She has frontotemporal dementia. That period of her disease was heartbreaking - she knew her mind was going and she had a lot of emotional pain from it. It's a blessing now for her, because she's past that point and lives in her delusions and hallucinations. She'll hold completely lucid conversations about her work tutoring the students or taking classes at this place...which is what she thinks she's doing at her memory care home. Several of our local retired teachers there, and the staff says most of them think they're still teaching, and they all see (hallucinate) kids there a lot.

As far as the convicted felon and rapist goes, I doubt he "knows" he's losing it because he's so lacking in self awareness that he lives in his narcissistic delusions now.

thought still in his orange pea brain. So, he "quit" trying to win more votes because he thought he had it wrapped up. Kamala ate his lunch at the debate and it's been downhill from there forward. Now, he has nowhere to turn and will start blaming his staff for not being good enough.

I heard a reasonable explanation of the swaying for 40 minutes. It probably was on the Thom Hartmann show. The concept is that Noem was supposed to only act as MC and she overstepped her bounds and took questions. The Orange Menace didn't have his teleprompter ready and after a few questions decided he couldn't take the risk. So he shut down the questions and stood around stupid.

I like the idea that it is his farewell tour!
Let's make it so.

The ceremony itself.
Because of family history, we got to use the cathedral for our wedding.
My wife did the "lay the flowers at Mary's niche" thing while a local classical organist played that song & a tenor sang it.
It was all very solemn. Like you said, hardly a party song.
Even though my wife & I don't believe in any of that stuff, it made for great photos & Super 8 film of the wedding.

President-elect Kamala Harris' campaign events are positive and aparty time and a fun place to be.

So the Tangerine Traitor comes up with an "original thought" that his campaign events should be positive, and a party time, and a fun place to be.

Sir,... can we watch you "dance" for 40 minutes so you can show the world you have way more groove than Kamala.

That many appearances requires a lot of feel good drugs for Trump. The dose has to be continually increased to get the needed result, and it's left him looking strung out and confused. At this point all he can do is listen to music and sway back and forth.

Maybe his diaper was really full and he was just biding his time until he could get changed.

The staged people n the stage had some pretty sour looks by the end of it all. When he started the music segment of the show and he requested "YMCA", you should have seen the "OMGWTF?" look on dog killer's face!

Maybe, the audience dug it. Maybe his followers thought, break the norms some more.
Burn it all down and let's just party
EFF those reporters asking him boring policy questions on the economy etc.
I'm kinda thinking why not get through the few remaining campaigning weeks going all out, getting stoned grooving on the greatest hits from his Spotify.
I just don't think his followers give a shit about any hearing any serious policy talking points except maybe immigration.
apparently, the mainstream media doesn't seem to care all that much anyway.

I read a comment on an X post discussing the musical interlude that mentioned Trump's handlers having to play his favorite tunes whenever he was in a rage, because that was a sure way to calm him down.

I believe he was enraged about the interruptions by the fainters, the heat, and having to answer 'stupid questions', so he demanded his people play his music in order for him to self-soothe. Basically being a belligerent baby.
