One person at CNN is still fact checking 🍊 🐔 💩 🐖 Donald?

Maybe the only person left in all of legacy media who is fact checking.

Donald Trump made at least 20 false claims in his interview yesterday at the Economic Club of Chicago - lying about John Deere, tariffs, the Capitol riot, immigration, US relations with South Korea, and more:

End snip

I personally am out of superlatives. But it is still not normal.

Do a Google search for "trump fact-check" and you'll find plenty of examples.

Here you go: https://www.google.com/search?q=trump+fact-check

Trump and Vance are often fact-checked in real time. Examples from the Vance/Walz debate:

Politifact is fact-checking Trump live at this very moment:

He has been CNN's primary fact checker for a while now and generally does a great job calling out Trump on many of his lies.

Almost all of them are not just false but laughably false and easily proven so.

But I found this to be the most incredible one:

The size of the Capitol riot: Trump correctly noted that the Washington, DC, rally he addressed prior to the Capitol riot was peaceful, but then wrongly described the size of the riot, saying, “I don’t know what you had – five, six, seven hundred people – go down to the Capitol.”

So his speech beforehand was the biggest in history - bigger than Martin Luther King - yet only 700 people went to the capitol? I'm pretty sure this isn't just a conscious lie - I believe this is actually very strong evidence of his dementia - I think he honestly doesn't even understand what he is saying.

700 was the number of arrests at the time, but that's probably just a coincidence.

"I'm pretty sure this isn't just a conscious lie"

No, it's an obvious lie and he knows exactly what he's saying. He's trying to minimize the size of the riot and it's quite intentional.

The FBI estimated between 2000 & 2500 entered the Capitol building. Of course Trump knew there were more than 700 people at the Capitol - he's bragged many times in the past about the size of the crowd. What I'm saying is that in the heat of that interview, he was glitching all over the place and making even more insane statements than usual. In every interview he does, Trump is determined to not tell the truth, but I think in this case his dementia absolutely contributed to some of the things he was saying.
