Harris says she will create a bipartisan council of advisors to give policy feedback

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, said on Friday she would create a bipartisan council of advisors to give feedback on policy, if elected in the Nov. 5 election.

Harris also said she would put a Republican in her Cabinet.

"I don't want any "Yes' people. I want people to come in ... and kick the tires on ideas," she said while speaking at an event in Arizona for Republicans supporting her campaign.

"So I'm going to create a bipartisan council so we can put some structure around exactly this point. And do the work that is important," she added.

But I don't want to hear a single word from republicans. I've heard enough from them for two or three lifetimes. In addition, they never reciprocate when they are in power. Fuck their "advice."

I could see Adam Kinzinger on an advisory council.

And I sort of agree in principle. I'm just not feeling very charitable toward Republicans who cling to the party.

There is no such thing as a "reasonable" Republican. Adam Kinzinger is NOT a reasonable Republican. He is just against TSF because TSF committed the sin of saying the quiet part out loud. Nothing will convince me that he doesn't agree with about 90% of what TSF says. We should NEVER take advice from that rightwing loon.

A) It's a good look attractive to the middle grounders she's trying to appeal to for votes.

B) Kamala is very much a Moderate/Establishment Democrat. This is in line with her history.

C) She can still do whatever she wants to do.

The people that want to strip women of their rights and thinks every immigrant is a criminal?

Sorry, being a "enemy of my enemy is my friend" is one thing. Actually putting one of these people in public offices a whole different thing that I'm absolutely not ok with it and absolutely nothing will make it ok.

I don’t want to hear a fucking thing from Republicans after all they’ve done.

Do you ever hear them asking for our input or criticism? They just roll right over us.

We should be who we are, boldly and unapologetically instead of playing this “bipartisan” horseshit. This centrist nonsense doesn’t win anyone over.

I feel like the ball is being dropped here. Get back in their faces, kick them in the nuts.
