This is the end result of our gun laws for decades now.

(309 posts)in my neck of the woods in the upper mid-west, I'd be surprised if there wasn't a rifle or shotgun in at least 15-20% of the vehicles. I'm probably low balling that. Cleaning mine for the season right now.

(20,345 posts)Mr Miller was then taken into custody "without incident", the Riverside County Sheriff's office said. He was later released and told US media he was a Trump supporter who was not planning to harm the Republican presidential candidate.
The US Secret Service said Trump was not in any danger, and that the incident did not impact protective operations.

Maybe the guy was a campaign plant trying to draw more support for the poor "assassination victim"???

That type likes to think they're lone gun heros striding through a lawless frontier full of "those people".

(960 posts)According to The ANNALS of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, about 5.7 million handguns are stored in cars and 9.5 million long guns are stored in Garages. If we look at the number of cars with a gun compared to the number of households with a car, it implies only about 5% of households with a car have a gun in the car. But figuring Trump supporters are more likely to carry a gun in the car, and those that go to rallies even more likely, I'd still figure a max of around 20% (Note 6 states still make it illegal to carry a gun in the car).
