Polls: Registered Voters vs Likely Voters

Most people agree that a poll of "likely voters" is more accurate than a poll of "registered voters". Why?

For example, a person that has voted in 3of 4 of the last elections is more likely to vote in the next election than a "registered voter", that may have never voted.

As we know, everyone that is registered to vote does not vote. A high percentage, perhaps as high as 40 to 50%, may not vote in the next election?

The recent poll by NBC News was a poll of "registered voters". Personally, I do not put a lot of stock in it. I would much prefer a poll of "likely voters".

1. The thing is, voters who just turned 18, will hardly be considered likely voters

4. My wife is fatalistic. She thinks Trump will win. I don't as I see more signs in yards for Harris/Walz.

I ignore the polls. I hear this from all across the country. I really think the vote will be Harris by a lot and she wins the necessary battlegrounds to take the election.
