Report from the field in Butler, PA

So, yesterday morning I was out and about and driving through Rep. Mike Kelly's (R-Useless) neighborhood. The area an upscale part of town. Kelly is a second generation used car dealer and his wife comes from gas and oil money.
Since I wasn't in a rush, I decided to drive around and count the number of properties that had Harris and Trump signs. But, it should be noted that I did not drive throughout the entire neighborhood, just a significant portion of it.
The final tally of signs based on what I saw was Trump 11...

...and Harris 12!
In Used Car Dealer Mike Kelly's own backyard, the Harris signs outnumber the Trump signs. My guess is that it is pretty even throughout the entire neighborhood.
The GOP has twice as many Republicans as Democrats so there are more Trump signs in the area, but there are way more Harris signs than Biden signs in 2020 and Hillary in 2016. The Harris signs aren't just along roadways, they are on people's property.

Washington, PA here. A few weeks ago, our neighborhood had four or five Trump signs and zero Harris signs. It’s completely turned around now—the last Trump sign came down and other neighbors are putting up Harris signs. There’s always the possibility the Trump signs were stolen—I had a Harris sign stolen—but I suspect not.

2. Yard signs are terrible predictors of election outcomes in general- BUT comparing numbers to prior years

may give a legitimate gauge of enthusiasm. So this certainly seems like a good "sign" (pun intended).

4. I made an observance about yard signs in Butler County in 2022 on this site.

There were way more Shapiro for Governor and Fetterman for Senate signs than in past elections for Democrats in Butler County in 2022.
I am seeing even more Harris than Shapiro and Fetterman signs this year. It's a Presidential election so people might be more interested, but there's something more to it.

5. Like I said it's a very positive sign that there seems to be increased Democratic support compared to past years

especially given that the Democrats won (statewide) in those prior years.

Driving around southwestern Virginia i have noticed a near even number of Harris and Trump signs. That is a very red area where Trump would need to run up the score to have a shot in VA.

I dont recall seeing that many Biden or Clinton signs but I also wasn't in that area as often back then either.

in CA. Saw 2 tRump signs along the freeway. Last election there were lots. Then drove east through Doug La Malfa’s dark red district. Didn’t even see a bumper sticker. This was a couple of weeks ago.

California isn’t in play so maybe they just gave up. Even the guy in Chester CA who’s been out there regularly the past 4 years selling Trump swag under a canopy was gone.

8. My tally

Coming to work today, the count was:

TFG/Couchfucker (alleged): 1
Harris/Walz: 8

What's most interesting is that I live in South Texas. And we're less than a month out. And in 2016/2020, you couldn't find ANY dem signage, and lots and lots of TFG's.

No, Texas will probably not go blue, but I think it's gonna be a LOT closer here than the GOP would like, and I'm here for it.

I've seen Trump signs in front of houses that I don't recall seeing in 2020. The two Trumpers near me felt unembarrassed enough to put out yard signs and flags. They had no signs in 2020. Some of the houses where I saw Biden signs in 2020 have no yard signs now. However, there are more signs for the R candidate, who is also the head of the Beaver county GOP, for the open seat in PA HD-14 with no accompanying Trump/other R signs.

There are Harris yard signs, but not as many as there were Biden signs when the yard sign ration was about 1 to 1. Now I'd guess it's 2 to 1 Trump signs. There are more Harris/Dem signs along the roads than Trump signs.

I'm not sure what to make of this. It could be because the R running for state house is the county GOP chairman is doing a better job handing out yard signs because he has a personal not just partisan interest in the election. It just could be that my area's general prejudice against AfAms is winning out.

But I think our local trump fluffer jim worthington is just flooding the area with signs himself. and harris people are afraid to put up any signs because there has been rampant vandalizing of signs.

I don't see any Trump signs in the area except for a couple of the 8.5x11 signs on a couple of corners. I'm shocked!
