Sell the Economy!!!

We all know the democrats are better on job creation and returns on the stock market historically. So why aren't the geniuses in the party selling this? I can't be the only one who is perplexed by this. Run ads with graphs and charts showing how the stock market does x percent better under democrats. Have a voice over if you want to make more on your 401k, decades of historical data show a better rate of return under democrats. Run ads how many recessions have happened under republican administrations vs democratic administration. Run ads showing job creation under the last 3 democratic administrations vs republican administrations. Run ads showing the Dow Jones and S and P at record highs. Run ads showing the avg fico score is up over pre-pandemic levels. Heck run ads that inflation is down to 2.4 percent. If you want to eat into trumps lead on the economy as an issue start attacking it. As James Carville use to say, it's the economy stupid. Does anyone really think if the republicans had these facts on their side, they wouldn't be talking about it on every talking head show and running ads with it non-stop? Of course they would.

Please recommend this up if you agree with this and maybe we can get this message to the party leaders and the people running campaigns.

1. The GOP controls the media message

The fight we've lost is for the media. The GOP controls the message and it says the economy is bad when a Dem is president. It also cheers the economy when a Republican is president.

Democrats should have been attacking the illegitimate portions of the media (which is the majority) for years now, but they refuse to do so.

Today, Democrats can cheer the economy all they want but no one will hear it.

3. Im talking run ads, talk on the shows.

the media doesn.t control what ads you run, what they say. The media doesnt control what democrats talk about when appearing on shows.

Trump!!
We see things that the party doesn’t see or doesn’t understand the gravity of the situation.
Occasionally, i have seen a Harris/Walz campaign commercial here, but for god sakes they need to do more to bolster the vote in already blue areas of the country.

2. With markets at historic highs, even a 2% pullback could spook voters

into thinking it's a crash. Pushing this narrative makes little sense as an appeal to undecideds or those not aware of markets. Those in the know, already know.

Trump would pounce on a pullback. And while it's unlikely in this time of year which usually begins the tech rally and forward look to January's expositions, a mini-crash could still happen. The campaigns are running with solid themes and GOTV discipline. Kind of late to change anything, really.

4. Im talking historical numbers in addition to current market numbers

Nothing is going to change historical numbers like the stock market since WW2 does about 5 percent better under democrats. Nothing is going to change that democrats have trounced republicans in job creation under the last 6 administrations. Quite frankly I think a ton of voters don't realize any of this. The point is to sway undecided voters.

5. Low interest voters will understand that argument?

They decide on emotion, and don't have a lot of economic savvy in the tank.

7. Yes I think low information voters

could understand a bar chart showing showing 2 million jobs for republicans vs over 46 ,million jobs for democrats under the last 6 administrations. Yes I think an ad saying do you want to make more in your 401K, well 80 years of history shows the stock market does 5-6 percent better under democrats. Its kind of the point of political ad, Lastly I think a ton voters don't realize this, and its time to make them aware of this.

Or we can just cede the economy issue to republicans. I remember a guy named Carville who said its the economy stupid. Lean into it, not run away from it.
