OMG, I forgot how a common head cold can knock you off your feet.

We've been concentrating on Covid since 2019 and this is the first cold I've had since then. I didn't sleep last night, just patches of naps. My head is clogged like it's cement.

All I have to do is ride it out today and maybe tomorrow.

Yes it did. Masks, hand washing, and staying away from crowds did do that.... Hekate Saturday #12

Not being able to sleep from being all stuffed up is the worst. Can you take Mucinex? That usually helps me.

I felt that way in early September, just dog tired all the time and congested like a bad cold, no other symptoms. Finally tested myself and found I had Covid.

My oximeter reading was good as well. The best I can describe my symptoms is overwhelming fatigue. Just getting off the couch to go to the bathroom was exhausting. The fatigue lessened over time but it was a good 2-3 weeks before my energy fully returned.

We tested positive for Covid last fall (our first time) and the fatigue lasted a month

Head colds are no joke! Beware of some OTC medications that make your mucous thicker, not thinner.

It’s awful. I took a covid test. Negative. I’m on day 4. Progressively better each day. But, it does put a whammy on you.

My coworker and I came down with a bad cough, congestion, spitting up mucous and a constant running nose. I was fatigued but still able to function. Took a covid test that came back negative. My coworker spoke to her doctor and said it was a virus going around. That lasts about 4 weeks. My husband and my co workers husband both came down with it. I was in my son’s doctors office last week and mentioned to her the symptoms and she it was definitely RSV and it’s going around.

I got RSV from a 10 y.o. niece who was in the midst of “just a cold, and she’s better.” No, she looked and acted sick, and it was RSV and I got sick as a dog.

Pay attention to your cough — it settles low down in the lungs like cement, and when you cough it is non-productive, meaning it doesn’t budge. I would cough uncontrollably until I hit my gag reflex. OTC expectorant and hot liquids helped get the yuck out until I could get better, and a couple of months later when the vax arrived I was practically first in line.

Stay safe and well, people.

I've wondered if all that mask wearing and isolation zapped the common cold for a while.

1. Do you have a pressing need to urinate upon arising in the morning?

2. Do you find that you develop odor under your armpits?

3. Do you find that after the sun goes down you become progressively more tired?

4. Do you have pigmented spots on your skin?

If you have any of these you may have a serious issue.
