"SNIP..........
Steve Bannon blamed former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Fox News for the expulsion of Rep. George Santos (R-NY) from the House of Representatives today.
Said Bannon: This is McCarthy screwing MAGA to jam up Mike Johnson. This is 100% McCarthy and his acolytes trying to make our job even tougher and take away our majority. This is Fox News, everything. This is the apparatus saying, we are going to shut down the ability to make massive cuts and stop the defunding of Ukraine.
He added: They want a civil war, they got one!

Oh. Steve wants a civil war. They want a civil war, they got one!
Figures, more threats of violence from the MAGGOT RIGHT. Get your musket, Stevie. However please put the bottle down first, we wouldn't want you to shoot yourself in the foot.

(82,849 posts)Isn't it strange that Bannon's all talk and no action? But sure, Steve, Kevin McCarthy made Santos commit all those felonies and become an embarrassment (which I truly didn't think was possible) to the MAGA Republicans. Dine on fecal material, Steve.

(4,741 posts)They already have on their plate to get to the one you want them to, when you want them to do it.
Never mind those potentially innocent prisoners appealing their convictions, or people on death row trying to stay alive, or any of those other, apparently 'lesser' beings wanting their day in court, too.
They should all just move aside so the court can get to what matters to you.

That means keep defunding ukraine, right? WARNING! cliche to follow: "even a broken clock is right twice a day."
I know little of Bannon Other that hes the maga minister of mis and dis information. Remarkably anti-American. We want to be respected and credible on the World to continue to be there leader of the Free World. He's more damaging to ALL OF US Than the gun lobby, heart disease, covid, book banning, canceling Constitutional Rights, sociopathic corporations and global climate change COMBINED. We used to be well educated and civil. Now we are howling ,monkeys throwing manufactured and wrong un-American propaganda.
It's amazing to me that so any MAGA's and Republic support and admire Putin? Frankly, it's like Putin Two, Electric Boogaloo.
MT Green is one traitor in favor of supporting Putin's Stalin -like dictatorship and assassinating his critics by polonium or tall buildings and plane crashes. MAGA and all Republics are traitors. Don't we have laws and reps and culture and easy access to instant encyclopedia like internet that could push these un_Americans to remedy their mental illnesses and worship of ignorance and love of tyrannical dictatorships.
The concept, probably a Thom Hartmann quote reminding us to; "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
I'm a boomer, and I liked JFK a lot when he was in the White house. I lived during the Cuban Missile Crisis and remember grown ups freaking out and as l learn more about it over the years, They were all worried about global nuclear war. I had stupid nuclear bomb drills in first grade. 1961. Really. It's where I got my first lessons in decisions by our get it wrong every now and then authority figures that in hindsight were only accurate perhaps 60% of the time. And caused a lot of suffering on our stupid unnecessary wars of choice based on lies of GW Bush, mostly, and Trump's narcistic world class sociopathy. Although I don't think TFG started any wars? He just infected our nation with institutional corription. That could result in the end of the world next Election.

(2,287 posts)Bannon is way past his expiration date. He used to have an obscene amount of influence over the Republican Party, but his ridiculous bloviating has not aged well. I have never understood how this disgusting pig wormed his way into the highest levels of our government.

George Santos Cashed In Big With Followers of Indicted Chinese Billionaire Miles Guo
When George Santos, the indicted but still-in-office Republican congressman from Queens, New York, recently filed the campaign finance report for his reelection effort, there was something unusual about it: Of about 50 total contributors, the document listed about three dozen contributors spread across the country who mostly have Chinese names and who had each maxed out to Santos by donating $3,300, the legal maximum for the primary election. Together, this group pumped roughly $130,000 into Santos political bank account. This was hardly a coincidence. This band of financial backers appear to include supporters of Miles Guo, the exiled Chinese billionaire and Steve Bannon associate who was arrested in March for allegedly running a $1 billion fraud scheme.
This roster of donors represents almost all of the money Santos pulled in in the second quarter of this year.

... Santos, a famously unreliable narrator of his own past, has said that he was born in Sunnyside, Queens to parents who emigrated from Brazil, and a 2013 Brazilian court document describes him as a U.S. national. This isnt, though, the first time that an official communication from his campaign has contradicted his story; late last year, a statement attributed to his lawyer referred to Santos as an immigrant. And as Patch reported, according to one former coworker, Santos has said he was born in Brazil ....
.... VICE News asked Santos campaign press team ... In his statement announcing his re-election campaign, Representative Santos referred to himself as a first-generation American. First-generation Americans are those who were born outside the United States and emigrated to the U.S. Is Representative Santos a first-generation American, and if not, why did he refer to himself as one?
The response was ... Yes. He is a first generation American.
In response to a follow-up question asking to whom specifically the claim that Santos was not born in the U.S. could be attributed (this question went unanswered), the press team complicated things ....
Congressman Santos was born in New York to immigrant parents ....
