According to reports the suspect was 50 years old.

Everyone is giving conflicting reports. He was questioned and released and was cooperating.

Either:
Guy got in an altercation and death was accidental
Someone else did this. There are lots of flags and those are large flags. Large flags at protests make me nervous. Small flags are OK, but large flag poles can quickly do a lot of damage. I wish people wouldn't bring large flags.

Also, Los Angeles Times reports today that there was an eye-contact hit&run of a walking student on the Stanford University campus. Arab Muslim, female. The driver screamed “F— you people,” as he sped away.

It is getting ugly.

Post-mortem exam shows the expected injury to the skull, which sounds severe, but also injuries to the face which may show the man was struck and not just shoved. I think the Sheriff let him out — not sure.

Gives this old lady pause for thought about protesting. A couple of years ago there was a gent about the same age who walked up to face a line of marching Trumpistas. One shoved him hard in the chest and he went over on his back like a felled tree. We saw video of the event, and the blood running out of his ear. He survived, but had a traumatic brain injury.

27. If you're thinking of Martin Gugino in Buffalo, who was pushed down during protests after cops murdered George Floyd,

cops were the ones who pushed Gugino down as well; he was hospitalized for almost a month and a grand jury didn't bring any charges against the cops.
