Just to be clear. Pence only suspended his campaign. (Original Post) LiberalFighter Oct 2023 OP
He decided there's no sense "hanging" around at the back of the pack. Lol. n/t CincyDem Oct 2023 #1
"Suspending" is the graceful way to say "I quit" if you're a candidate. ificandream Oct 2023 #2

All campaigns that end, "suspend" their campaigns. They don't "end" them. themaguffin Oct 2023 #7

They "suspend" so they can keep collecting money to pay off their bills.

But who would do that? What would be the point? Pence offers nothing that a dark money funder person can't find almost anywhere else, with less "loser" or "MAGA-traitor" baggage.

He's out. Bank on it.

If you're hoping for a long shot to get the nomination, put your eyeballs on Nikki Haley. I still think there's a fair chance that Trump's legal problems between now and March will force him out of the race.

If that happens it comes down to Governor Chirpy and Governor Grumpy, and I don't see DeSantis picking up a lot of steam.

Legally it is a mistake to do that. If they suspend it they can continue to raise money to pay off debts. If they formally end it they can't.
