In a terrible tragedy, 300 or more people have been killed in a hospital bombing in Gaza. The Israelis say they would never do such a thing and the damage is too much to have been an Hamas rocket? Was it an accident? Was it planned to create hatred and opposition? We do not yet know.
Unpredictable events happen in a war.

(2,508 posts)I've read 200, 500, 300, 600.... fog of war and all that, but it's especially grating when US government representatives start tweeting this stuff without bothering to do even minimal investigation into the facts.

(3,888 posts)Six thousand bombs were dropped on Gaza as of 5 days ago in highly populated areas.Targets included residential towers sometimes with people still inside. Many eyewitness accounts deny that warnings were given by IDF.
Humanitarian aid is impeded. Israel denies that there is a humanitarian catastrophe at all.
A choice was made by Israel to carry out this war in a fashion not consistent with international laws.
Sometimes the truth is staring us in the face. But whatever.
