(30,855 posts)New York law on jury trials does not extend to equitable relief. That is an oversimplification, but accurate. They did not ask for one. Courts only decide issues that are raised.

It is surprising how the experts that we listen to are so often wrong and real, down-to-earth citizens, who live there and have some knowledge, outshine them.

(12,938 posts)is still 6 (I believe) other charges to be determined through trial. The Judge made note at the trial today that his lawyers did not request a jury trial.
