CHADDS FORD, Pa. (CBS) -- Pennsylvania State Police are holding a news conference on the search for escaped prisoner Danelo Cavalcante at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Surveillance video released Wednesday shows the murder convict climbing onto a roof of the prison while his block was out in the exercise yard.

There was a confirmed sighting Tuesday night on Chandler Road in Pennsbury Township, which led police to expand the perimeter.

Helicopters are circling the area and the perimeter is patrolled by hundreds of law enforcement officers.

I'm really starting to wonder why he hasn't been caught.

1. I'm in the Philly area and this morning they showed how he escaped

apparently he crab walked up to the roof, got through 2 sets of barbed wire to escape.

It's amazing that he hasn't been caught yet, but with the heat alot of the equipment like heat sensors and the effects it's had on the search dogs, they've been pretty limited in what they can use.

2. Perhaps he hasn't been caught

because he has hunkered down somewhere, which is not a viable solution to his problem. He’ll have to come out of hiding eventually, unless he’s getting help, which doesn’t seem likely in this case.

4. I don't know. His family was helping him run from the law previously.

Longwood Gardens has been closed for several days because he was spotted on one of their trail cams. That is not far from us (New Castle Co., DE). They have such a vast property, and there are such deep woods and remote houses around there and near Lenape, that he may still be hunkered down in the woods or in a house there.

5. Anyone who helps him is gonna be in deep 💩 if they get caught

Family & known associates are probably under surveillance.

3. How horrible for those living in the area... Not that he's likely the only person who might pose a

risk to them (statistically), but knowing he's out there and how dangerous above and beyond his murder of a girlfriend in the US (seems there is far more outside the country)... very anxiety-inducing.
