Is DeSantis already screwing up his emergency response?

I'm not hopeful this yahoo is going to develop a soul between now and in the morning. So far he hasn't put a booted foot in his mouth. I hope I'm not alone in thinking he should just step aside and let the experts handle this.

He's not reassessing. He's unable to communicate comfort. He clearly doesn't understand the weather or shifting tides, literally or figuratively.

So what's the over/under? Will Idalia end his weak attempt at trying to look presidential? Or will he provide the leadership and reassurance the citizens of Florida, who will no doubt be in a world of hurt soon, deserve?

A Category 3 or 4 storm can easily turn a mobile home into a pile of debris.

He talked about one (likely right-winger) dude in Florida being interviewed on TV,
like a day before a hurricane was impending to strike the area.

He had the means to leave and evacuate like everyone was being told, but he was defiant and
elected to stay and sit it out.

The guy said he was fit as fiddle and no hurricane was going to intimidate him. Wasn't even going
to take any safety measures like board up his home, or stock up on supplies.

Ron White said "it isn't that the hurricane is blowing hard, it is WHAT it is blowing."

"All the fitness in the world won't help if you get impaled by a piece of flying rebar or crushed by a vehicle."

All Ronny boy has going for him is multiple "campaign restarts", and the overuse of the word "woke" in nearly everything he has said earlier this year.

Dude is so lame he was outsmarted by a cartoon mouse. He's been characterized as having the personality and charisma of an old, cheap, mannequin. However, at least the mannequin still has some purpose.

He was billed as "Trump without the baggage", but it appears that a darker-skinned skinny guy is taking that schtick away from him. So all he has now are white go-go boots and nowhere to dance in them.

There is actually a scene of him debating whether to pardon a convicted criminal before execution, asking his handlers which would be better politically and have a better chance of getting him re-elected.

He was played by Charles Kimbrough (Jim Dial from 'Murphy Brown'), and was just as stiff and lifeless as Ron DeSantis.

Burt Reynolds' character Sully finally had enough of him and said
