He doesn't want to have to come up with the money, his reasoning being that he is such a well known celebrity, there is no way he could flee the country without the country knowing it, so why bother with it. Bend the rule of law for Trump once again.

Actually I am a bit surprised Trump is not calling the bond far too little for such a rich and powerful alpha male celebrity as himself.
