Fulton County Courthouse did NOT close at 5 PM

Mueller, She Wrote @MuellerSheWrote 5m
The Fulton County Courthouse did NOT close at 5 PM. The doors remain open and the grand jury is still in session.

NEW reporting from Fulton County GA: Presiding Judge Robert McBurney's Courtroom + the courthouse is still open.

On a normal day, the courthouse closes at 5p, and the presiding judge's presiding duties end at 5p. But it does not appear today is a normal day.

"We still have two witnesses along with a possible three more so that just kind of tells us that we could be in for a long night here in front of the courthouse." @ReporterBlayne gives @NicolleDWallace an update on the Fulton County grand jury

Police presence outside the Fulton County Courthouse is ramping up as we enter the 5 pm hour.. typically when a normal jury would get out for the day. We’ll be live throughout the night...

Views from the hottest club in Fulton County: Judge Robert McBurney’s courtroom. This is the room where the indictment could be handed up later this evening. We’re still waiting for the grand jury presentation to wrap up.

I could understand continuing past 5pm today in order for a witness to finish their testimony rather than split one witness' testimony up over two days.

But if there are more witnesses to go yet, why continue for several more hours? Wouldn't the judge wait until the next session to bring in more witnesses?

How can that be? It is only 7:06 pm eastern time right now. Unless Georgia is not in DST?

Anxious reporters are assembling in the 8th floor courtroom of Robert McBurney, the Fulton judge on duty who will be receiving any charges that are handed up from the grand jury. McBurney briefly stepped in and told reporters to hang in there

Fox "The Five" is reporting on the top cities affected by retail crime, "Bear Spray Mob" on the chyron.

And that 'some federal staff in the -- "I'm not making this up" -- the Nancy Pelosi federal building have been instructed to work from home' because it's too dangerous out.

Newsmax has a "threat assessment" due to a athlete claiming she was injured by a trans athlete.

I don't "get" it either. But if you know someone who'd answer yes to "The only way our country can get through the crisis ahead is to get back to our traditional values, put some tough leaders in power, and silence the troublemakers spreading bad ideas" that person's very likely one -- and eager for tRump and company get to the critically necessary "silence the troublemakers" part.
